Tray and Coffered Ceilings
Tray and coffered ceilings are decorative ceiling treatments that add depth, dimension, and elegance to any room. Tray ceilings feature a recessed center section, while coffered ceilings use a grid of sunken panels framed by beams. Both styles have been around for centuries and continue to be a hallmark of custom home design. We use real wood in our ceiling work. Some contractors will use fiberboard or MDF, we don't, because these materials can bubble or swell over time, especially in the Florida humidity. Real wood holds its shape and will look elegant for years to come.
We do several styles including simple tray ceilings, stepped tray ceilings, tray ceilings with crown moulding accents, traditional coffered grids, beamed ceilings, and custom designs with stained or painted finishes.
Tray and coffered ceilings are often done in dining rooms, living rooms, primary bedrooms, offices, and entryways.
